Polymer concrete

Polymer concrete is a risk-free material for long-term use under continuous load with almost unbeatable physical and chemical properties.

Die Herstellung geschieht durch einen unkomplizierten Gieß- und Aushärtevorgang und das finale Produkt benötigt in den meisten Fällen keine weiteren Arbeitsschritte, welche beim Einsatz anderer Baumaterialien erforderlich wären, wie beispielsweise verputzen, schleifen, streichen oder versiegeln.

HYPERTECH: POLYMERCONCRETE

PolyCare MAS (“Modular Assembly System”) achieves the rapid creation of decent living and utility space through the innovative use of polymer concrete.

Compared to cement concrete, polymer concrete has outstanding physical properties and the additional advantage that it cures within a few hours. The formulation developed by PolyCare is based on inexpensive polyester resin, requires significantly less resin than conventional polymer concrete and at the same time allows the use of inexpensive filling material such as desert sand. Another advantage is that around four cubic meters of construction material can be created from one cubic meter of polymer concrete.

Very high flexural strength and compressive strength allow thin-walled dimensioning of the end products.

Thus, one cubic meter of polymer concrete can easily be converted into 20 square meters of wall area, whereas cement concrete has a wall area of only about four square meters. This alone makes the PolyCare process cost-effective. In addition, polymer concrete is water-repellent and thus frost-resistant and does not require a conventional foundation.

All these factors make it possible for the first time to use polymer concrete in building construction.

Polymer concrete sets in only 20 minutes and the MAS element can be demoulded.
